About the Nextgen Training Institute

The Nextgen Training Institute by UKALD equips individuals with practical, industry-ready skills required to compete in a technology-driven global economy. We offer 10 high-impact training programmes in entrepreneurship and IT, including machine learning, robotics, project management, and other emerging-technology pathways.

All programmes are supported by international development partners based in Europe. Candidates receive 50–75% funding depending on availability and merit. Funding is limited and allocated on a rolling basis across states.

The institute is integrated with the Nextgen Challenge Platform, enabling seamless movement between innovation, training, and employment opportunities.

Available Courses

Training Process (For Students)

    1. Course Registration

    2. Attend All Classes (Theory + Practical)

    3. Final Examination / Capstone Assessment

    4. Apprenticeship or Practical Attachment

    5. Graduation Ceremony

        – Hosted in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, and Port Harcourt

        – Certificates issued by the Head of Institute, Harri, who will be physically present

        – Students must attend in official graduation attire

    6. Work Placement & Employment Support

How to Qualify for Funded Training

Funding is competitive due to limited slots. The process is as follows:

  1. Submit Application of Interest via the website
  2. Acknowledgement Message confirming receipt
  3. Shortlisting based on programme-fit criteria
  4. Online Suitability Test to confirm basic digital competency
  5. Interview Scheduling via candidate portal
  6. Conditional Admission Letter issued to successful applicants (Includes level of sponsorship (50%, 60%, 75%)
  7. Payment of ₦5,000 to secure place
  8. Formal Registration & Automatic Start Date
  9. Waiting List System activated per course to fill all available funded slots promptly.

Priority will be given to individuals on the waiting list during the next funding cycle.
